Call for proposals

The annual workshop of the Center for Qualitative Psychology aims to provide a space for both young and experienced researchers in Psychology and related fields who use or are interested in learning more about qualitative methods in research. The 2011 workshop in Heidelberg, Germany will focus on diversity in qualitative research by looking at the strength of qualitative methods in research on diversity issues in society as well as by discussing diversity in qualitative psychological research. Researchers are invited to submit proposals relating to the main theme of the workshop or to one of the sub-themes, including: qualitative research contributing to the peaceful co-existence in schools and society; research on teaching and training of diverse learners such as students with disabilities, research on justice and policy-making topics; ethical issues in qualitative research; changes associated with online strategies in qualitative research; and interdisciplinary research approaches. Master, diploma, and doctoral candidates are also encouraged to submit abstracts of their research for which they would like to receive consulting from experienced qualitative researchers. The abstracts for research consulting must not be related to the theme of the workshop. Childcare will be provided for participants travelling with children.  Please make a note of your wish to bring children in your proposal including the number of children, their ages, and the language they speak.
